Technical Lead (Node.js, AWS, Java)

Job Description:

• Lead the design and delivery of a cloud-native AWS serverless architecture
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Node.js and Java (Spring Boot) development
• Manage and coordinate multiple workstreams across engineering teams
• Drive best practices in system design, scalability, and performance
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business and technology teams
• Contribute to modern, AI-assisted development practices within the team

Key Skills:

• Strong experience as a Technical Lead within enterprise environments
• Deep expertise in AWS Serverless:
• Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS
• Hands-on development experience with Node.js and Java (Spring Boot)
• Proven experience managing teams across multiple workstreams
• Strong knowledge of insurance platforms (policy admin, underwriting, bookings, endorsements)
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) – strong advantage
• Experience within insurance / financial services (beneficial)
